Technology = Blessing

After almost two weeks of not communicating with Jordan, we were surprised by Skype ringing in on my computer today. Layne's bedroom is at the other end of our home as the living room, where I was editing away on the computer. Even two rooms away, he came running at the familiar sounds, screaming, "DADDY!" Our faces were instantly nothing but smiles. After about 20 minutes of attempting to connect with Jordan, Skype notified that he had logged off. Explaining that to my 1 year old, not too easy. We were both in tears. Approximately 15 minutes later, computer rings again... same thing, here comes my running eager toddler. This time, with a simple click- BAM- Daddy appears on the scream. Strangely enough it was   like we were just meeting for the first time again. Between the butterflies and the tears, I was overjoyed. Layne continued to scream, "Daddy, daddy, daddy!" After the initial excitement, we filled each other in on missed memories and a few minor issues. Having the time to talk and "see" my husband really reminded me how much he means to me, how much he holds this family together, and now blessed we really are to have each other.

I have many people ask me how it feels to be without him, and how we do it. The answer I have realized more and more is- We cling tight to our love, our memories, and mostly our amazing GOD. With Him, all things are possible.

God Bless Our Troops, & Please Bring Them Home Safe
