Hudson Dean

Two weeks before my due date for Hudson, I went into a regularly scheduled appointment. Regular appointment changed into scheduling a C-Section because little man was breech. I was terrified. Over the next few days, I prayed and asked God what to do. The day we went into St. Vincent hospital to prep for surgery, I was very calm about what needed to be done. My baby needed to be born in the healthiest way possible. After vitals, and IV administered, my OB came to do one last ultrasound to check on the baby. To our surprise, Hudson was head down, perfect position. She gave me the option to go home and wait to see if I go into labor myself, or continue with the surgery. I didn't need to consult with Jordan, I didn't need to hear any options, my decision was set.. I was having Hudson via cesarean, that day. At 8 am, I was taken into surgery for my spinal and final preparations, Jordan then came in, at 8:44 am my precious baby born was born. Shortly after he was getting vitals and cleaned up, my doctor informed me that the cord was wrapped not once, but twice around his neck, so tightly she could hardly get sheers in to cut it. She told us that had I attempted to push on my own, there was a huge chance that Hudson wouldn't be here today. I knew that God was in control. God calmed my crazy self, so much that I didn't once doubt my decision. It gives me chills to think about. God is good. That being said. Welcome to the Blog, Hudson Dean. We love you so much, already.

Layne was super excited to meet his new brother and start his life as a BIG brother.
 Life is well, perfect.
