Not everyone can say they have met their soulmate, that God gave them the perfect person - to complete their life.
BUT I CAN
2008-Our First Date "Off Post"
Jordan & I were in 68W (Combat Medic) training for the Army when we met. We didn't exactly start on the best terms. He didn't think women should be in the Army, and that ... well, didn't make me too happy. You could say we tried to "ignore" each other, while catching secret glimpses. A couple weeks into the ignoring, we were paired up for patient assessments. THAT is when it all really started. From that day on, we were inseparable. We spent every single second possible together. He even went to study hall with me, which was crazy considering he has an A.
Our BIGGEST Opsticle
Fraterization is not tolerated in the Army. You can have pay taken, if it gets that far. But, we just didn't care. We somehow found a same sex "battle buddy" to tag along wherever we went, or until we were out of sight. Towards the end of our training, we just got away with it. lol During an FTX, I was called out of formation by my Platoon Sergeant. She asked me to show her my hands. Strange request if you didn't know I had a "Promise Ring" from Jordan on. She asked where it came from, and I didn't hesitate before telling her the truth. I told her that I was in love with him and that it didn't matter. She dismissed me back to formation. Throughout the rest of our training, a few comments were made... but never did we get in trouble.
The time came for graduation. My mom and Amber Reed came up to watch, and also met Jordan. I couple days later, I had to say goodbye to him, knowing it would be for at least two months. After being together every single day, all day, for five months... it wasn't easy. But, we did as we always do, JUST DID IT.
We got to know each other in those five months, more than anyone could realize. We got to sight-see and just be together. We were so sure of our love that we didn't care if we got caught. We just KNEW.

He was already carrying my bags. :)
2 months of phone calls and letters , I was on a flight to Florida to see my handsome man.
It was there, September 19, 2008, that he proposed.
Three months later, we said "I DO!"
Now, Always, & Forever.
