Time & True Friends

It's crazy to think that I have officially been away from Jordan the same amount of time that I was pregnant with Layne. (Give or take a few days.) 9 months. The last nine months haven't been easy, but I can say that they have went somewhat quickly. I thank God for that. We are in the homestretch to our reunion. We still don't know dates or specifics, but we do know that it's closer than we thought and much less than the 9 months we already have under our belts. 

I am thankful for the people God has placed in my life during this time. Some of these people I never would have compared my situation with, but at the end of the day, we have a lot of the same emotions. One person in-particular has experienced more than I can imagine, and at the end of the day is always here to listen and help me with my somewhat parallel emotions.

*You know who you are, and I am blessed beyond belief to have you as my friend.* 

God never gives us more than we can handle. When we are close to breaking, it's like to sends his angels in to pick us up and glue us back together. Faith is an amazing thing. My faith is so much stronger after this deployment. I have taken the time to really figure out who I am and where I want to go/be in my life. With God at my steering wheel, nothing is impossible. 

Someone told me at 18, when I thought I was "all grown up", that I would learn who I was between 20-25.  Here I am, at 23, finally starting to figure it out. I was a silly, stubborn, out of control, boy crazy *girl* at 18. I can say, with full confidence, God has really worked on me in the last 3 years. I am proud of the woman that I am today and what I have accomplished. The past is the past and it makes us who we are. We learn from our mistakes, and strive to achieve more in life. 

Thank you, God, for allowing time to past just as you plan. Sometimes we look back and think that the last week seemed like a year, and visa versa. 

EVERYTHING will happen just as God has planned, everything.
